Self-hosted logging for a Tesla: every drive, charge, and battery reading, kept long-term and owned locally.
Tesla's own app only shows recent trips and a rolling window of history. TeslaMate quietly logs everything in the background (every drive, every charge session, battery degradation over time) into a real database that never expires or gets pruned by someone else's retention policy.
Paired with Grafana, that raw data turns into actual dashboards: efficiency over time, charging costs, where the car spends its time. It's the car's own data, kept the way a spreadsheet-loving owner would want it kept.
